HISTORY:
WZBG came on the air at 97.3 on the FM dial
in July of 1992! It was the dream of local Litchfield
residents, Michael and Virginia Mortara, and Dick and
Susan
Saint James Ebersol. WZBG’s mission was a simple
one: to provide the Northwest Connecticut community
with much needed local news and information, a musical
format appropriate for family listening, and a venue
for local community groups to share their messages.
Local
Boys and Girls Broadcasting (WZBG) strives to stay
true to its mission!
WZBG is a proud member of the Connecticut Broadcasters
Association, (CBA).
CONTEST RULES:
- No purchase necessary.
- Prize – No substitution, cash equivalent
or transfer of prize permitted.
- Winner will be notified
by WZBG. Winner will be able to use prize for a period
of time, expiration
dates of the prize(s) will be specified.
- Additional
Terms – By participating, entrants agree to
- Abide by the official rules, and, if a winner,
to the use
of their names and/or likenesses and statements for
advertising and publicity purposes by WZBG without
compensation.
- Release discharge and hold harmless,
WZBG and their, affiliates, subsidiaries, franchises,
advertising,
and promotion agencies
and the respective directors,
officers, agents, representatives, and employees of each of the above from
all claims or damages (compensatory, direct, incidental, consequential
or otherwise) with respect to or in any way arising
out of the contest and/or acceptance
and use of the prize.

- Eligibility: Contests open
to all ages unless specified. Employees of WZBG and
their parents,
affiliates, subsidiaries, franchises, advertising
and promotion
agencies, and the immediate families (spouse, parents, siblings, children,
and their spouses and any other household members) of each of the above
are ineligible.
- Taxes – Winner agrees to pay all taxes and
tariff liabilities for the prize.
- Decision by WZBG
judges is final. Rules are subject to change at
any time.

Take Route 8 South to exit 42 (Litchfield/Harwinton
Exit).
At end of exit turn right onto Route 118
Go a short distance and turn left to continue on Route
118 W
Follow 118 W to end where it intersects with Route
202
At junction of Route 118 & Route 202 take a left onto Route 202 W
through the center of Litchfield
Go through 3 traffic lights
At the 4th light, turn left at shopping center called “Litchfield
Commons” on Commons Drive. Follow driveway to beige building behind
the shopping center. Go to center door, studios are
on the left.

Take Route I-84 to Route 8 North (near Waterbury)
Route 8 North to exit 42
Left off exit
Go a short distance and turn left to continue on Route
118 W
Follow 118 W to end where it intersects with Route
202
At junction of Route 118 & Route 202 take a left onto Route 202 W
through the center of Litchfield
Go through 3 traffic lights
At the 4th light, turn left at shopping center called “Litchfield
Commons” on Commons Drive. Follow driveway to beige building behind
the shopping center. Go to center door, studios are

Follow Route 202 East toward Litchfield. (Approx. 17
miles past New Milford Hospital)
Continue on Route 202 through the center of Bantam,
past the car dealers on right, toward the center of
Litchfield.
Look for the Stop & Shop plaza on the right.
At the next traffic light turn right at the shopping
center, “Litchfield Commons.” Follow driveway down to beige
building in back (you can’t go any further). Go to center door,
studios are on the left.
