Lady Gaga dropped her song “The Dead Dance” to coincide with the premiere of Part 2 of Netflix’s Wednesday Season 2, and now she has released the video for the track, directed by Tim Burton.

‘The Dead Dance’ was written by Lady Gaga, Andrew Watt, and Henry Walter, and co-produced by Gaga, Watt and Cirkut.  The video for the song finds Gaga making her way through a creepy set populated by doll heads and their remaining body parts.

In addition to the new song and video, Gaga also shared the deluxe edition of her 2025 album Mayhem to include “The Dead Dance” and two previously-released tracks: “Kill for Love” and “Can’t Stop the High”. Prior to the deluxe drop, the two bonus tracks were only previously available on specialty editions of album.

The singer/actor portrays the ghost of Rosaline Rotwood, a deceased professor at the Nevermore Academy, in the second half of Season 2 of Wednesday. Gaga explained (via Rolling Stone) how much she enjoyed working on the series: “I had a wonderful time working on Wednesday season two, even just being a small part of the show. I loved working with Tim Burton and Jenna [Ortega], and everyone here, it’s so incredible. Thank you. I’m also here to confirm my song ‘The Dead Dance’ is coming.”

Season 2, Part 2 of Wednesday also stars Gwendoline Christie, Hunter Doohan, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman and Isaac Ordonez.
