Center Cemetery Tours

The Torrington Historical Society invites you to step back in time with guided tours of Center Cemetery on Saturday, November 1st. Four tours will be offered at 3:30, 4, 4:30, and 5pm — there’s no rain date. Located behind the Historical Society at 192 Main Street, Center Cemetery is Torrington’s only remaining downtown burial ground. This year’s tour highlights the cemetery’s history and the stories of past residents — brought to life by actors portraying those who now rest there. Each tour is limited to 20 people and designed for adult audiences. Guests should arrive at least 5 minutes early. parking is available at the Society lot or nearby streets.
