Cardboard Regatta

The Torrington Parks and Recreation Department invites you to the Cardboard Regatta, happening Friday, August 1, at 5:30 at the William L. Besse Municipal Pool. This one-of-a-kind event challenges teams to design, build, and race their own boats made entirely out of cardboard and a few basic materials. Participants are encouraged to register their team online using the QR code provided on promotional materials, or in person at the Parks and Recreation Office. Team fees are $5 for kids and $8 for adults. Spectator admission is just $2. While there’s no age limit, all participants must be able to swim.
