Torrington Veterans Day Observance

The Torrington Veterans Memorial Committee invites residents to attend the City’s annual observance of Veterans Day Tuesday AT 10:25AM at the Coe Memorial Park Civic Center. The observance will feature proclamations and remarks from elected officials, followed by a main speaker. A moment of silence will be observed as wreaths are placed in honor of all veterans. At 11AM, the Torrington Veterans Service Office Final Honors Squad will perform a rifle salute and taps, to honor the fallen soldiers of World War I, and commemorate the signing of the armistice between the Allies and Germany on November 11, 1918. The service recognizes the millions of American soldiers and personnel who have served in armed conflicts throughout our nation’s history.
